For a just, viable resolution
of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Because we believe in dignity, justice and rights,

Because silence, indifference, skepticism are the worst of surrenders,

We, members of Coexistences, Swiss of all origins and convictions, actively supporting the dignified encounter between Jewish Israelis and Palestinians (be they citizens of Israel and of the occupied territories),

By welcoming them in our homes in Switzerland since 2006, so these Palestinians and Jewish Israelis can deepen their dialogue on equal footing, away from the conflict, in a supportive, benevolent and actively neutral environment,

Reiterate our conviction that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict cannot be subjected to unilateral decisions. On the contrary, any resolution must be negotiated with and by all the concerned parties, so that their aspirations and needs for security find expression in a durable, viable, comprehensive and sustainable resolution.

2020 projects
The 2020 projects are postponed until the end of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Here is what we had in plans

> more details in our 36th newsletter

16-22.03.2020 / THE 10TH ANNIVERSARY OF BREAKING THE ICE
We intended to mark ten years of the Breaking the Ice project, by inviting back all the former participants, numbering more than one hundred. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event has been rescheduled to 15-21 March 2021.

11-20.08.2010 / ROOTS
We will have the pleasure of welcoming for the second time a dialogue group from the grassroots organisation Roots / Shorashim / Judur. The meetings between religious Jewish adolescents from the Gush Etzion settlements and Palestinian adolescents from Hebron and Bethlehem aim at humanising the other at the heart of the conflict, in the Palestinian territories.

BREAKING THE ICE 2020
A mountain trek with a mix group of students from Haïfa. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the trek has been rescheduled to 2021.

3-11.09.2020 / DAVID YELLIN COLLEGE
The David Yellin College is an academic teachers’ training college in Jerusalem, the only one in the town to include Palestinian students from East Jerusalem (approximately 30%). The teaching staff is also mixed. So this is an institution representative of Israeli society: secular and religious Jews, Christian and Muslim Palestinian Arabs, and new immigrants. The group which will come has been pursuing its dialogue programme since November 2018 at the rhythm of 2 meetings a month, thereby completing 2 years of dialogue.
